Almost everyone that adopts a maltese puppy, or is looking to buy a maltese puppy, asks one question – What size will my Maltese be full grown?

People always want to know if you can guarantee what size their maltese will be full grown. Unfortunately, there is no proven scientific method for predicting the exact full grown size of a puppy, but there are a few methods that will give you a good estimate of your maltese puppies adult weight.

Using the growth chart, looking at the paw size of your puppy (if your pup seems to have larger than proportionate paws your pup may get bigger than charting), the size of your puppy parents, size of litter mates, and adults size of previous litter if any. Using all these methods combined you can be fairly confident of your puppies adult size. Here at tea cup maltese pups – we have experience and we know our lines which can make all the difference!
